<p>The topic highlights that both offline and online shopping modes are considered important by consumers for purchasing various products. According to a Statista (2020) report analyzing the reasons behind consumer preferences Indian shoppers favored offline purchases primarily due to familiarity and trust. These two factors accounted for 28 percent of the reasons influencing consumers to choose offline stores especially for staples. A Grand View Research report (2020) estimated the Indian online food market at USD 2.9 billion in 2020 and projected an annual growth rate of 37 percent from 2021 to 2028. This indicates that both shopping modes hold significant value for different segments of consumers. However the absence of either platform may create difficulties for shoppers. Noor et al. (2023) further emphasized that such consumer perceptions are shaped by multiple factors influencing preferences for online versus offline shopping. This study examines these factors in detail by offering an in-depth understanding of consumer perceptions and preferences.</p>
