Profile of Youth Workers in Slovenia today and tomorrow

Youth work directs young people in their development and prepares them for adult life. It is one of the most important informal ways of acquiring knowledge. In different European countries youth work is in different stages of development and is evaluated differently. Youth worker experiences are based on working with young people and for young people. The same applies to the profession of youth worker. In my diploma thesis I presented the situation of youth work in Europe more precisely in six selected European countries: Ireland Germany Estonia Norway Spain and Slovenia and further investigated the situation of youth work in Slovenia.
