The present work addresses the profitability of music business in Mozambique. It intends to study the challenges facing the sector in general musicians promoters and all involved in the development of music such as publishing marketing and production system of the sector. Basic elements of the study are policies legislation capacity building cooperation and role of the music civil society in the development of the music. The results of the study will be used for further comparative studies with successful countries on music business so that a model is built for Mozambique aiming to establish a music industry.
