Profitable Inter-cropping in Sweetcorn under Konkan of Maharashtra

Agriculture is the largest enterprise in India and it became a most significant entity on which economy of our country mainly focused. Resource utilization is one of the important aspect under shrinking land resources. To enhance productivity per unit area is challenge among the farming community. Doubling farmers income is one of the major goal of the scientist stakeholders. In this view within shrinking land resources efficient management of land resources is need of the increasing population. Sweetcorn is one of the major crop of the world however to improve yield potential of land there is need to standardize agronomic practices. Particularly intercrooping of leafy vegetable due to its short duration found more compatible in respect of their peak period of resources requirement is differ with main crop.
