<p>Over my lifetime I have discovered that simplicity and depth go together. Dietrich Schindler’s book Profound masterfully contains both. It is a seminal primer of serious reflection about some of life’s most basic questions. Timeless and timely this book deftly quotes some of the best ancient and modern sources. As I read each chapter in sequence I wondered if the next chapters could be as good as the ones I had already read. My imagination said no but as I continued reading reality said yes!
