Program Evaluation of Janani Suraksha Yojana in Kashmir Valley

The book describe program evaluation of Janani Suraksha Yojna which is a centrally sponsored scheme launched under National Health Mission in 2005 to promote institutional deliveries to reduce maternal and infant mortality rate. The present study was conducted in three districts of Kashmir valley to evaluate the functioning of the scheme The study assessed the awareness utilization pattern service coverage of beneficiaries and involvement of stakeholders at various level in the implementation of the scheme. It describes the challenges and lacunae in implementation of the program. The study recommendations would be helpful in framing policies in local context for smooth implementation of the scheme.
