In the following work the characteristics of the project-oriented education are presented as an effective practice for the worldwide education and an innovation for the Bulgarian technological education. Special attention is given to the specifics of the organization and the content of students’ project activity: the changed functions of main subjects of pedagogical interaction (professors and students) as well as the needed transformations of the educational area in terms of project development. Exemplary model of educational project development is proposed an algorithm of the design of every different stage of the project. The work presents the author’s ideas and teaching experience and an attempt to present a contemporary interpretation of the project – based education’s opportunities in terms of motivation increase of students in the “Technologies and Entrepreneurship” classes.
