<p>What makes a storyteller? I have always been a reader – books that were true preposterous funny serious scientific literary – whatever was on my grandparents’ shelves. From being very young I could enlarge on the truth. I didn’t tell fibs just made the truth more interesting. For a very long time I’ve eavesdropped: conversations on trains and buses overheard mobile phone conversations. One remark can give rise to an idea which can lead to a variety of destinations. But no I’m sorry to disappoint: none of the characters depicted in this collection exist.</p>
