Protocol for the management of primary enuresis in children

Considered one of the most frequent urination disorders in children enuresis is a condition that affects 15 to 25% of children from the age of 5 and may persist in 0.5% of cases into adulthood. The pathogenesis of enuresis is multifactorial suggesting the involvement of several genetic psychological and hormonal causes....Enuresis is a benign and temporary condition with a tendency towards spontaneous resolution with age. However its psychosocial and family repercussions are not negligible and constitute a real handicap for the affected child hindering his or her individual development and achievement.
