Sexual violence against children and adolescents is considered a complex crime worldwide specifically in terms of its corroboration. This type of violence is generally characterized by the fact that it is committed in an intimate setting between the victim and the perpetrator. It is a type of crime in which unlike other crimes in many cases there is no physical evidence to serve as proof for the process and there are no eyewitnesses to the crime. In these cases the victim in addition to suffering irreparable damage to her physical psychological and moral integrity due to the abuse itself is exposed to secondary victimization derived from the subsequent relationship established between her and the judicial and rights protection apparatus. It is therefore of fundamental importance that throughout the process the victim is treated in such a way that her rights and dignity are respected and the necessary measures are taken to ensure that she enjoys special consideration and attention in order to guarantee her well-being and prevent further trauma.
