Faced with the stressful situations experienced by radiotherapy manipulators in their oncology work environment psychological coping strategies are adopted to preserve their professional well-being and ensure quality care. In this study we evaluated these strategies and determined their effectiveness. Our study involved radiotherapy manipulators working in different institutions. Data were collected using the validated French version of the W.C.C. which assessed three types of psychological coping strategies: problem-focused coping emotion-focused coping and social support-seeking coping. Coping scores were calculated and analyzed according to the characteristics of the study population.
