Afro-descendant groups in Ecuador have gone through a process of renewal in order to continue exercising peaceful resistance in order to move forward. In the last census of population and housing held in the country in 2010 about one million people defined themselves as Afro-Ecuadorian so it was necessary to promote in depth and form a special reform to be able to move forward policies that promote non-discrimination taking into account that along with the indigenous the blacks as they are historically called are marginalized even in this XXI century they have limited access to formal work to a complete and comprehensive education to a decent and sometimes expensive health system in addition to their campaign proposals to improve public policies have not been taken into account eh here the manifestation of looking for better days.
