This book based on the doctoral thesis defended and approved in March 2015 at the National University of Rosario (Argentina) aims to evaluate the external management of Presidents Vladimir Putin (2000-2008) and Dmitri Medvedev (2008-2012) marked by a reinvigoration of national self-esteem and the search for a leading role at the regional level and based on this to describe the relations of this unsatisfied power with neighbouring and rival countrieshistorical either alternatively by cooperating and/or confronting with theinternational power structure during the post-Cold War period.
