Putting the metal to the pedal is first of all a book about an idea that expanded into an incredible challenge of cycling 100 miles a day 2400 miles in 24 days from Chicago to L.A on Route 66 to raise money for Love Hope Strength Foundation. It took me through 8 different states and saw me battle exhaustion headwinds torrential rain freezing cold and the occasional bout of homesickness. .
