About The Book

Patient satisfaction with perioperative care can contribute to assessing the quality of health services by identifying gaps and subsidising health planning and public policies. The general objective of this study was to assess the quality of perioperative care from the patients' perspective in a hospital belonging to the Unified Health System (SUS). The specific objectives were to analyse the sociodemographic clinical and therapeutic profile of patients undergoing surgical treatment in a public hospital; to analyse patient expectations and perceptions of perioperative care in this hospital; and to analyse the gaps between patient perceptions and expectations of the quality of perioperative care in this hospital.
