The book presents a linguistic study of Quantifiers and Negative Polarity Item(NPI) in Kokborok a Tibeto-Burman language spoken in TripuraIndia. Also it projects different forms of negation in relation to yes/no questions ambiguity conditionalsadversative predicates and embedded clauses as well as negation of quantifierssetc. Moreover it introduces examples of NPI and quantifiers in languages of different Language Families such as ArabicCroatianEnglish and Russian. NPI in this language can occur in negative contexts.Alsothe occurrence of NPI can be noticed in imperative sentencesinterrogative sentences as well as in affirmative sentences. Similarly data analysis discloses that there is such kind of merger between NPI and negation as well as it is between quantifiers and negation. Furthermore the study offers different kinds of quantifiers which are expressed through one specific term and they are differentiated only by the plural marker of the noun they qualify. Besides the study presents the syntactic and the semantic positions of NPI and quantifiers and how they are linked to negation.
