Romanian Queen Marie's 10000 mile North American train voyage was an epic journey. Invited to America in 1926 to inaugurate a strangely conceived and unfinished 'Maryhill Museum' located high on the treeless banks of the Columbia River Americans would discover a magnetic and very modern woman; the Queen would discover an America bursting into the post-WW I era as a maturing world power.
