Society discriminates people on the basis of wealth power gender colour status caste etc. Despite recent advances gender disparity and heteronormativity are still prevalent in our society. The book analyses how LGBTQ community are discriminated in a homophobic society and how the legal institutions treats them through a close study of the biographical films  Aligarh and Boys Dont Cry. The book meets its objective with the aid of Queer Theory.
