Race Talk in White Schools

<P>This book presents counterstories from female teachers of color in predominantly white schools illuminating the teachers' agency in resisting discourses of whiteness embedded in education. This collective narrative shows teachers of color using a marginalized position to become empowered through culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogies.</P>
