Manifestations of racial discrimination are latent especially in children's daily school life. Therefore we need to reflect on the racist practices that exist in this space. It is extremely important to rethink education and how it has been developed. In this process the recognition of early childhood education in Brazilian society was more effectively achieved by the 1988 Constitution which in addition to re-establishing democratic order granted rights to neglected social groups including women black people indigenous people people with special needs the elderly children and adolescents who began to receive special attention in line with their specific needs. In this context of exclusion (in Brazil) education gains visibility and is considered by many to be the panacea for all social and economic problems. We can and should consider that education is indeed one of the factors that must be valued in order to overcome inequalities but it is not the only one. For change to happen we must think about the urgency of political and social reform. It is extremely important to rethink education and how it has been developed.
