<p><em>Raíces: Una aproximación comunicativa intercultural a la lengua española Volumen tres</em> is a communicative-based learner-centric book designed to give Spanish 201 students opportunities to develop and practice Spanish in everyday situations.</p><p><br></p><p>Each chapter of the book features distinct sections-a) ¡A empezar! b) ¡A conversar! c) ¡A escuchar! d) ¡A escribir! and e) ¡A leer!-to help develop the students' five language skills: writing reading speaking listening and cultural awareness. At the end of each lesson is included Perspectiva cultural and ¡A pronunciar! or Ortografía. The text offers a variety of interactive and communicative exercises such as tongue-twisters crosswords riddles real world tasks role play reading excerpts short film discussion questions and other listening exercises.</p><p><br></p><p>Students learn how to talk about jobs; use simple future; use informal commands; talk about places in the city activities and means of transportation; use present subjunctive with verbs of influence and emotion; express denial doubt and disbelief; and much more.</p><p><br></p><p>With emphases on practical application conversational Spanish and cultural understanding this text is the third volume in a three-book series developed to help foster students' language acquisition and speaking abilities.</p><p><br></p>
