Raising Flag

<p>Pamela Wrenn Wood's first children's picture book incorporates the use and care of the U.S. flag into its patriotic messages. It will inspire readers and listeners to feel proud of our country flag and Pledge of Allegiance. Mimi Liz and her parents live on a small farm where they grow vegetables and goats. Each morning they raise their U.S. flag. At sunset they respectfully lower it. Her parents and Mimi Liz chose a dapple-gray miniature horse for her on her birthday. When it was delivered she was thrilled. As she'd promised her parents each day she fed</p><p>watered walked and groomed Flag so named because he reared when he saw the U.S. flag. For an upcoming local Fourth-of-July parade the girl trained Flag to walk with her lead. On that day she and her miniature horse decked out in red white and blue to celebrate the patriotic holiday.
