Raman Spectroscopy Of Perovskite Structured Ceramics

About The Book

The cubic paraelectric to tetragonal ferroelectric phase transition of barium titanate is not fully understood. It is known to exhibit order-disorder as well as displacive nature of phase transition. In situ Raman spectroscopy has been employed to study the phase transition behaviour of undoped BaTiO3. The mixed character of the phase transition has been studied by varying the sintering temperatures and atmospheres. The phase transition behaviour of A-site doped barium titanate i.e. Ba1-xCaxTiO3 Ba1-xSrxTiO3 and Ba1-xPbxTiO3 and B-site doped barium titanate BaTi1-xCaxO3 BaTi1-xZrxO3 and BaTi1-xSnxO3 have also been studied by Raman spectroscopy.
