This book is analysis of three Ramayanas viz. Kambaramayanam in Tamil Ramcharita Manas by TulsiDas in Hindi and Valmiki Ramayan in Sanskrit. The contradictions within each character of Ramayana is the focus of the research. All the three version of Ramayana have been compared to find an answer for the question Whether the main charaters of Ramayana have been depicted as individuals asserting their individuality or they live up the character of rising to the social norms as a member of the society? In this comparative analysis we encounter the contradictions within all main characters of the epic. Deviating from the devotional recital or enjoying the classical beauty of the epic we try to understand the epic and the characters better and deeper.
