When Ray Farabee was born at home six weeks premature in 1932 the doctor said he wouldn't make it through the night. This is Ray's story of making it through that night and beyond--through the Depression and World War II years emerging as a leader in public school working his way through college leaving the university for two years as a national student leader (1950's) practicing law (1961-1988) serving in the Texas State Senate (1975-1988) and working as Vice Chancellor and General Counsel of the University of Texas System (1988-2000).
