READING AND THINKING

The theory and practices of education have been tremendously facilitated by the psychological foundations. Indeed Reading is a complex process requiring very specialized skills on the part of the reader. The individual who reads well has at his command a means for widening his mental horizons and for multiplying his opportunities for experience. Thinking involves the active processing of information. Thinking is influenced by the kind of mental representations we form of a situation which can make thinking either effortful or effortless. This book is a modest attempt to generate a relevant literature in subject of Education. I hope this title ‘Reading and Thinking – A Critical Approach’ will be helpful for the faculty and students of education.
