Reagent for love: Dogs and humans

<p>This is a book about pet dogs and humans and related subjects. </p><p>While Part I is derived from the author's experiences with one dog these writings - eight sections of recollections anecdotes musings and analytical thoughts evoking a range of feelings such as affection wonder delight and amusement - would surely resonate with fellow dog lovers and to a degree also with those who care for other animal pets.</p><p>Part II is about pet dogs in general offering information and ideas on a wide variety of relevant subjects: from allergens and foods toxic for dogs; to thoughts and information on dogs with us in our homes in society and in our culture; to examining the feelings and behaviour of dogs and humans as we interact. Following are thoughts on broader ethical and practical aspects of our relationship with dogs and with other animals too. </p><p>Part III presents some further points to ponder on 'creatures non-human and human' and the earth we all inhabit. </p><p>Part II and Part III would inform and engage the mind while Part I would appeal more to emotions.</p><p>A book to savour for every dog lover pet parent or anyone caring for a companion dog or other animal it would be a good gift for people in whose lives or memories or hearts and minds dogs or other animals hold a special place. For those who have not so far been close to animals it could open up a whole new and wonderful world.</p>
