Realističke pripovetke (Realist Stories) gathers twelve of these early tales each marked by psychological acuity and a sharp eye for social detail. Here are apprentices and patriarchs singers and schoolboys; here too are the compromises that shape a life. Domanović's prose is plain but penetrating his compassion unsentimental.
