Recent Advances in Periodontics

Periodontics is the branch of dentistry devoted for the treatment of the supporting structures of the teeth and their replacements. Periodontal diseases are prevalent human diseases defined by gingival inflammation and periodontal tissue destruction. The foundation of our knowledge of periodontal disease is not the product of linear events but rather a bringing together of theories discoveries and advances that have occurred in parallel.
