Exact diagnosis of various keratotic lesions depend on various diagnostic work up recent technological advances particularly those dealing with information acquisition and management have created opportunities in dental diagnosis and therapy which can be realized fully only through a systematic analysis of all relevant factors. Many potentially malignant disorders often being the harbinger of Oral Cancer. Hence there is an increasing interest in preventing progression of these lesions. Early diagnosis and chemoprevention is very essential to prevent malignant transformation of oral leukoplakia.
