<span style=color: rgba(23 43 77 1)>Daily life is becoming even more complex and the quality control of environmental food cosmetic biological and pharmaceutical samples requires simple rapid and cost-effective determination methods. Electroanalytical techniques in connection with properly selected sensors constitute versatile tools in this respect enabling on-site on-line and in-line measurements. Moreover electrochemical sensing offers the possibility of investigating the interactions between different biologically important species e.g. drug-DNA and/or understanding their action in living organisms e.g. the antioxidant activity of natural polyphenolics. On the other hand it is worth mentioning that the continuous and increasing development of various modified electrochemical (bio)sensors improves the performance characteristics and the applicability of electrochemical techniques. This Special Issue provides a collection of papers (both reviews and articles) revealing the current state of the research on electrochemical sensing and the latest findings in this area emphasizing the importance of electrochemical techniques and the corresponding chemosensors in various fields.
