RECENT TRENDS IN DENTAL CERAMICS

Through the centuries teeth are no longer considered as functional vital organs but also play a great role in the appearance and beauty of a person. Ever since the drive for a more stable and esthetic restoration has led to the use of porcelain in dentistry. Ceramics have a firmly established role in clinical dentistry owing to their biocompatibility excellent esthetic properties and mechanical strength. Thus advancement of ceramics has marked a quantum leap in the field of esthetic dentistry. Thus this library dissertation highlights the in and out of dental ceramics with an aim to understand its current advances.
