Recovery of thermal energy escaping from the calciner

OCP Group is determined to optimise its energy resources through a targeted strategy aimed at securing its energy sources and increasing its energy efficiency. The solution is based on the calciner which releases the important heat in the form of hot gases in the calciner outlet. This residual heat produced by the calciner will be calculated from the flow rates temperatures and specific heat in order to deduce the electrical power produced by the system. To complete this work an economic balance sheet will be drawn up by studying the investment cost and the payback time on the investment not forgetting its impact on the environment.
