Recreational Drug Use among Young Adults of the Nightlife Setting

Young people use drug in more risky ways than older people and this behaviour can lead to significant problems in the short and later on in their lives. Most times when the issue of drug use is to be discussed it’s always in relation to young people and this is because the significant issues among older population always begin from substance use during the younger years. If a person can pass this age group without abusing drug then it is unlikely he or she ever will. There is need to educate adolescents and young adults about what substance abuse does to their bodies minds creativity relationships and potential. Young adults need to be offered positive alternatives including sports facilities and youth groups to fulfill the need for affirmation entertainment self-expression and peer acceptance.
