Reduction and Oxidation

<p>Reduction and oxidation reactions are common in organic synthesis. In&nbsp;<br/>the sense reducing and oxidizing agents are used for functional group&nbsp;<br/>transformations or interconversions. Numerous reducing and oxidizing&nbsp;<br/>agents are available today. Since we are actively engaged in synthetic&nbsp;<br/>organic chemistry we came up with a thought to bring all reducing and&nbsp;<br/>oxidizing agents in a single window.&nbsp;<br/>Most of the textbooks available today in market on reduction and&nbsp;<br/>oxidation have limited information on mechanisms. Besides they are&nbsp;<br/>limited to few reducing and oxidizing agents. This point of view again&nbsp;<br/>motivated us to write a specialized book on reduction and oxidation.&nbsp;<br/>Our vision is to provide mechanisms to almost all reactions mentioned in&nbsp;<br/>the textbook so that under graduate and postgraduate students of Indian&nbsp;<br/>as well as foreign universities can easily understand the mechanisms of&nbsp;<br/>oxidations and reductions. Besides this textbook is useful to students for&nbsp;<br/>the preparation of competitive examinations like National Eligibility Test&nbsp;<br/>and State Lectureship Eligibility Test in India.</p>
