Reflection on educational equity in Mexico during the Covid

About The Book

The present book aims to make a reflective analysis of the educational consequences in rural schools in Mexico during the Covid-19 period; under the perspective of the philosophical principle of equity. Particularly from a school located in the Yucatan Peninsula State of Campeche in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve at the secondary level Telesecondary modality. To this end a reflective analysis is made of the situation experienced by basic education schools and the way they worked during the contingency; it establishes proposals to confront the New Normality in the education sector as a need to reduce inequalities in rural communities with a high and very high degree of marginalization. Among these it proposes the co-responsibility of various education agents in which the government should play an indispensable role with constant supervision of federal programs. Similarly it proposes to establish semi-formal education (understood to mean that which integrates face-to-face and on-line education) in order to foresee similar situations in the future and not to be threatened.
