About The Author: In February 2007 I Suffered A Stroke Which Partially Paralyzed The Left Side Of My Body. I Lost The Use Of My Left Hand Which Was My Dominant Hand. I Never Lost My Love For Writing Poetry. Writing This Book Has Been A Healing Process For Me. My Healing And Recuperation From This Debilitating Illness Has Been Very Lengthy And Tedious. During That Time I Did A Great Deal Of Reflecting On Past Experiences As Well As On Current Events And Social Issues. Expressing Myself Through Poetry Has Always Been A Catharsis. Writing Poetry Allows Me To Gain And Keep Perspective. It Is Fulfilling For Me To Be Able To Share My Thoughts And Feelings With Others Through This Art.
