<p>From the Introduction: The role of women in sustainable development in the history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been continuously overlooked by many historians. Oral tradition has brought their stories to the forefront. However there is a tendency to dismiss these stories as myths and fables and to relegate women's roles to housework and dutiful lovers. Nevertheless much information on the role of women remains untold because writers of early history did not see the importance of the role of women....
