Reforming Education for the Real World

<p>Education as we know it in America is too often characterized as living in a world by itself; unaccountable and unimproved--so different from the Real World.  Year after year "Band-Aid" attempts are initiated to improve education and again year after year those attempts only produce marginal improvement--if any.  Thus our international ranking is still depicted as "mediocre;" documented by low levels of student learning (inexplicable low college admissions SAT scores) high drop-out rates (8300 high school students per day yes per day) and disenchanted "stay-outs" (those who survived bad learning experiences and vowed to never return).</p><p>This book "Reforming Education for the Real World" identifies the practices necessary to make America a world leader in education.  The content focuses on resolving the existing deficiencies related to teaching and learning through accountability and continuous improvement.
