In 2017 under the Akhilesh government the annual budget of Uttar Pradesh was 2 Lakh cr. whereas in 2019 under Yogi Government the annual budget increased up to 5 Lakh cr. Clearly under Yogi Government the state budget increased two and a half times as compared to the previous government. In 2017 the economy of the state was at the 5th spot whereas in 2019 under Yogi Government the state became the 2nd largest economy. In 2017 the state government collected the taxes of 49 thousand cr. rupees and the excise of 12 thousand cr. rupees whereas in 2021 the Yogi government collected 50 thousand cr. rupees VAT and 36 thousand cr. rupees of excise. Between 2012-17 the Akhilesh government brought only 25.81 thousand cr. investment whereas in first four years of Yogi Government between 2017-2021 he attracted in an enormous investment of 1.88 Lakh cr. rupees and we must not forget the terrible shock of the corona pandemic over the world of investment. In 2017 UP was at the 12th spot in the rating of Business Reform Action Plan whereas in 2019 it was at the 2nd spot. In five years of the Akhilesh government only 2 lakh government jobs were given to the youth whereas in the first four years of his rule Yogi Government has already given 6.65 lakh government jobs to the aspiring youth of the state. In 2017 the per capita of the state was only 47.01 thousand rupees whereas in 2021 it was 65.43 thousand rupees per capita.
