Reminiscences and Memoirs of North Carolina and Eminent North Carolinians

Essentially a continuation of Wheeler'sHistorical Sketches of North Carolina from 1584 to 1851 this scarce work contains extensive genealogies of over sixty-five eminent families with reminiscences of their times and additional biographical and historical material. Once again chapters are arranged by counties in alphabetical order with sixty-two of the early counties treated largely from the viewpoint of family history.
