Remote Instructions for Mobile AR

Presenting clear and understandable instructions from a remote location is generally a challenging task due to the vast diversity of operable objects in the modern world. The growing public interest and acceptance in augmented reality and the omnipresence of smart-devices has enormous potential to bring information representation to a new level. Because augmented reality offers an intuitive and understandable way for presenting additional information and the computational power of smart-devices grew rapidly in the past years these two combined form a good basis for presenting additional information in everyday life. Here a method of describing instructions as AR Overlay is presented which is able to describe diverse tasks in an intuitive way like performing car maintenance or depicting how to play a song on the piano.
