Research on Sociocultural Influences on Motivation and Learning Vol. 2 (PB)

Thirty academics from the U.S. Australia New Zealand Hong Kong South Africa and Nepal present research examining extant and novel motivation and learning foci from a range of sociocultural perspectives. Fourteen chapters are grouped into three main sections focusing on research in identity families and community and methodology. Common themes among the majority of the papers include the dynamic sociocultural development of various self processes such as self-concept and self-schema how those processes affect curricular and pragmatic topics and the similarities and differences within and between cultures revealed through cross-cultural examinations.
