Mary Elliot lives a sheltered life on a farm in the early 1900s. She has parents she loves and a sister she looks up to. When Mary witnesses the horrific death of her sister she decides to move from her idyllic farm in Virginia to the much bigger New York City. There she stays for almost a year. But after she is brutally murdered in an alleyway Mary learns that death is only the beginning.
