Resin Bonded Fixed Partial Dentures

Various options are currently available in clinical practice for the replacement of a single missing tooth. Resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD) presents as a viable esthetic and minimally invasive alternative treatment when oral implants are not the treatment of choice for many patients or in cases of insufficient space between the adjacent teeth/roots and also for young patients who may be more likely to experience endodontic complications as a result of extensive tooth preparation. In addition to replacing missing teeth the resin bonded prosthesis can be used for periodontal splinting and post orthodontic fixation.
