<p>Alexia Windrain a young enchantress and her best friend Kaal the last of the dragons have both quickly been caught in the midst of a war that threatens the existence of all magic and the people with the talent to use it. With the shadow of the marauding Bright Souls looming over the human lands and slowly seeping into the magical Forbidden Land the two now must journey back to the other side of the mountains to the world of mortals and the town of Stoneblight the last true haven for sorcerers of all kinds. There they meet the leader of the largest and most secret resistance to the threat Caltra of the Black Shade Alliance who also happens to be a half-dragon with a story of her own.
