RESOURCE USE EFFICIENCY IN AGRICULTURE

“Per drop more crop is possible only till the inflection point in the TPP curve. After that there is always less and less crop for more and more drop. That’s how critical the efficiency of the resource is.” Resource use efficiency (RUE) is a concept that describes how effectively resources such as water energy nutrients or labour—are utilized to produce a desired output whether it's agricultural yield industrial products or services. The goal of RUE is to maximize output while minimizing the input of resources thus ensuring sustainability cost-effectiveness and reduced environmental impact.
