Response of molybdenum on soybean in Vertisols

This book deal with response of molybdenum and inoculants on nodulation leghaemoglobin nutrient uptake yield and quality of soybean in a Vertisol. Molybdenum has a notable influence on N-fixation and metabolism in N2 fixing legumes. In nodulated legumes Mo is necessary for the reduction of atmospheric nitrogen to di-amide by nitrogenase enzyme. It has been established that the symbiotic bacteria require more Mo for N2 fixation than does the host plant. Molybdenum is also essential nutrient for nitrate reductase and nitrogenase enzyme activity. The book consist six chapter with details.
