About The Book

Two principles underlie economic activity in Cameroon: freedom of trade and industry and freedom of competition a corollary of the first. However freedom of economic activities or competition that would be entirely free would only be a source of disorder in the market of goods and services. This is why the legislator has intervened by imposing certain restrictions on free competition. Moreover economic operators have been given the possibility of inserting into certain agreements clauses limiting their freedom to trade. In short a line has been drawn between the freedom of competition and the excesses that are contrary to it. The latter expose rogue traders to both civil and criminal sanctions.
