<p>Suicide is against the law and is punishable with death for those who survive...whether it be the family of the deceased or someone who attempts to commit suicide but fails. Joe Martins heads the new suicide squad a unit whose job is to determine which mysterious deaths are suicide and which are not. When <em>Afterlife Inc.</em> manufactures a prototype machine that reanimates corpses he is among the first to be trained in its use.It doesn't take much time for things to stop adding up.With fellow officers disappearing and time running out Joe and his new partner must discover who is behind the disappearances and the true purpose of the machine that has come to be called the resurrection machine.</p>
